So many Christians today believe that if you go to church regularly and read your bible sometimes then your alright and ready to meet the Lord. I don't want to sound "religious" but the truth of the matter is that there is a little more to it than that. First, we must have had a conversion from sin to the life in Jesus. Another words, asked Jesus into our hearts and truly try each day to walk in his will and not our own. This is being saved by the blood of Jesus. But next we need the spirit of God to keep us. We have to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. We are "begotten by the Word, and born of the spirit". And the Holy Ghost which is the spirit of truth, will lead us and guide us into all truth. We also have to read the Word of God daily as if we were searching for hidden treasure, for that is what it is. Treasure, true riches, spiritual wealth. Jesus said to learn of him. If we study the Word of God we are learning of Jesus. "Low, I come in the volume of the book, it is written of me".So many people today believe if they go half way it is enough. Think about this. What if Jesus while going to offer himself on the cross for our sins only went half way. Would we have salvation through his name? No. There was only one way man could be redeemed. It was by the redeemer, the holy one of God. Jesus his only son. I know that I serve a true and living God, who is not a God afar off, that cannot be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. I know Jesus didn't go part of the way and whimp out. He went the distance and we have redemption in none other. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praise. Our requirements are more than a mere casual worship. How many people do you know that say they believe they might be ready to meet the Lord? If your not sure don't you think we should do everything we can to assure our souls eternal resting place. Where we go after this life is not a casual subject when you look at how much longer eternity is compare to this vapor of a lifespan. Jesus paid an awesome price for our sins. Let's do everything we can to assure our place and then every one around us too. That is what we are called to do. Lift up your voice like a trumpet. Sound the alarm. Make a joyful noise. My intension is not to cause strife or division or even an argument. My purpose is not to scare anyone. But if these words help secure someone's salvation, though all my friend's turn away. I will know in the end that I did what God placed in my heart to do. If these words have encouraged or stirred your soul leave me a comment. Be blessed. Thanks
